Taking place April 17-18 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, Ellen Francis was a first place winner in the art/textiles category and also reading comprehension. In addition, Reece Brandon placed second in the art/models category while Redeemer Classical Academy was fourth place overall in points for their respective division.
“We’re proud of our students and their skill at the state level. They represented God and our school so well. We are looking forward to going back next year and competing again,” Redeemer Classical Academy’s Darla Tucker said.
TJCL and its parent organization, the NJCL, are non-profit fraternal organizations with the mission to promote appreciation and enthusiasm for studying Latin and the classical civilizations of Greece and Rome. Any junior high or high school student who is currently enrolled in Latin, Greek or a classical humanities course has the opportunity to join TJCL and NJCL.
